Michael Townsley is the Head of Quality Assurance at Castle Creek Biosciences, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, he has deep experience with start-up biotech quality operations.
Mr. Townsley’s expertise includes the development of robust quality operations systems to establish Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Clinical Practice, in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Mr. Townsley has more than a decade of experience in cell and gene therapy space. Most recently, he was the Head of Quality at Imvax, Inc., leading clinical manufacturing, quality operations, clinical quality assurance, process and analytical development and supply chain. He has held other advancing leadership roles at Tmuity Therapeuitcs, Odonate Therapeutics, Trevena and Morphotek (monoclonal antibodies).
Mr. Townsley holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Pennsylvania State University.
